Hybrid Rooftop Solar with Battery Storage

A hybrid rooftop solar system combines solar PV generation, battery energy storage and grid connectivity. During daylight the panels power the building and charge the batteries; when solar generation is low or the grid fails, the stored energy supplies critical loads, and when solar and battery together are insufficient the system draws from the utility grid automatically.
